Vestibular Rehab

The vestibular system (inner ear) involves gaze stabilization (focus on what you are looking at while your head is moving) and postural control (balance). Vertigo makes you feel dizzy (spinning sensation) and off balance. 

Most common causes of vertigo include:

  • Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV)

  • Hypofunctions 

  • Meniere’s Disease 

  • Balance Dysfunction 

 

Our physical therapists will perform a thorough evaluation to develop a treatment plan to help you. The various treatments for vestibular therapy include:

  • Repositioning Maneuvers 

  • Balance Training 

  • Coordination Exercises 

  • Proprioception Exercises

  • Gaze Stabilization Exercises

  • Posture Exercises

  • Gait training

  • Patient Education

  • Home Exercise Program
