Parkinson's Disease Rehabilitation

Parkinson’s Disease is a progressive neurodegenerative disorder due to lack of dopamine producing cells. Our therapists specialize in treating patients with Parkinson’s Disease through the PWR Moves! Program.

PWR Moves! Program uses specific whole-body movements in various positions to decrease the symptoms of Parkinson’s Disease such as tremors, poor posture, balance and walking abnormalities, pain, muscle stiffness (rigidity), decreased trunk rotation, slowness of movements (bradykinesia), decreased strength and endurance and increased fall risk.

Also, included in this program is aerobic exercise. Moderate to vigorous aerobic exercise enhances brain health. This is an individualized program tailored to your needs and your goals. All rehabilitation sessions are 1 on 1 for you to achieve your goals to fight this disease.
